Building wind power through partnership – a tour of Canada’s largest First Nation wind energy partnership
Henvey Inlet Wind is a 300 MW, 87-turbine project and Canada’s largest First Nation wind energy partnership. Built through a 50-50 partnership between Henvey Inlet First Nation and Pattern Energy, it combines long-term ownership, income and community benefits with innovative land-management, environmental and transmission solutions.

From green bins to renewable gas at Generate Upcycle
Food waste collected from homes and businesses across Ontario is helping produce renewable natural gas at Generate Upcycle’s London facility. After more than $175 million in investment over the past five years, the site can now process up to 225,000 tonnes of organic waste annually and produce enough RNG to heat more than 9,000 homes.

Travers Solar – more than Canada’s largest solar project
Travers Solar is Canada’s largest solar project, with a capacity of 465 MW, located near Lomond, Alberta. But it is also a financial stabilizer for Yetwood Farms. Eric Steeves walked me through the site, explaining how solar became a new source of stability on land shaped by drought, wind and uncertain agricultural returns.
